On June 2, Academy Park High School proudly welcomed U.S. Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon for a special visit with Advanced Placement Government and U.S. History classes.
Students had a rare opportunity to engage in thoughtful dialogue about national policy, public service, and the impact of youth voices in our democracy.
We’re incredibly grateful to Congresswoman Scanlon for taking the time to inspire the next generation of changemakers with her insight, experience, and passion for public service.

Representative Boyd spoke to an Advanced Placement Government class about the importance of civic engagement, the role of state government, and how young people can shape their communities.
