All adults who volunteers (or is interested in volunteering) with a school must have the following certifications:

• Report of Criminal History from the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP)

• Child Abuse History Certification from the Department of Human Services (for a paper copy of this form, Click here)

FBI Fingerprinting is not required as long as:

• The position the volunteer is applying for is unpaid; AND

• The volunteer has been a resident of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the entirety of the previous 10 years.

Costs

The required clearances (Report of Criminal History and Child Abuse History Certification) are free for volunteers. The FBI Fingerprinting is $22.60
