We’re excited to spotlight Leigh Daly, a Southeast Delco graduate! ✨

After earning her bachelor’s degree in English from Arcadia University, Leigh raised her family in the district before returning to Delcroft School as a supplemental staff member. She recently completed her teaching certification from Eastern University and looks forward to teaching 7th through 12th grade English language arts.

Leigh credits her teachers with shaping her passion for reading and literature. Today, she is excited to share that same joy with the students she serves. 📚

At Southeast Delco, Alicia was surrounded by educators and coaches who cared deeply about students’ success both in the classroom and on the field. She says the athleticism, leadership, and discipline she developed as a student-athlete helped prepare her for the next chapter of her life.

After graduation, Alicia enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where she continues to embody the strength, dedication, and resilience fostered during her years in Southeast Delco. 🇺🇸

Southeast Delco’s gifted program students had a hands-on learning experience at Lucille’s Garden and Kitchen at Tyler Arboretum last month! They explored where food comes from, how plants grow, and the science behind preparing simple, healthy recipes. 🍎

Students harvested cucamelons, gathered sweet potatoes, and planted cilantro seeds to continue growing at home. In the teaching kitchen, they used farm-grown ingredients to create small rhubarb pies and cook sweet potato leaves, gaining confidence as they measured, chopped, and tasted new foods!

This visit brought science, math, nutrition, and culinary skills together in a meaningful way for our students. 💙
