Get Ready for Kindergarten Month is all about building excitement for the first day of school! Our schools are ready to help every kindergartner feel welcomed, supported, and confident from day one.

As a reminder, kindergarten students will begin school on a staggered schedule. Students whose last names begin with A-M should attend only on Monday, August 31. Students whose last names begin with N-Z should attend only on Tuesday, September 1. All kindergarten students will attend together beginning Wednesday, September 2.

Students wrapped up a summer of learning thanks to the 2026 GSK Science in the Summer program! 👏

Participants explored everything from making super-stretchy slime to separating clean water from polluted water—getting a real opportunity to discover how chemistry powers so many parts of our world.

This free, hands-on STEM program, engineered by The Franklin Institute, is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and inspire the next generation of scientists.
