Our Partnership with Safe Corridors
The Southeast Delco School District has partnered with Safe Corridors, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating safer school environments through community-based support. Starting in fall 2025, trained Safety Advocates will be present in school hallways during morning arrival, class transitions, and afternoon dismissal.
Safety Advocates are trusted members of the Southeast Delco community who will be vetted and thoroughly trained. They will use trauma-informed strategies to promote positive behavior and ensure the safety of all students during daily transitions.
The goal is for caring Safety Advocates to develop warm relationships with students, serving as positive role models while also providing a reassuring presence for families and staff.
We are excited to launch this partnership for the 2025-26 school year! Neighboring schools who partnered with Safe Corridors have experienced improvements in both safety and school climate through consistent, community-centered engagement. This collaboration is part of our ongoing commitment to student safety and wellbeing.
