Kristman with awards

Darby Township School fifth grade teacher Brittany Kristman has been named a recipient of the Philadelphia Eagles Nouryon All-Pro Teacher Award, a recognition presented by the Philadelphia Eagles to outstanding educators in the region.

Kristman was one of 10 teachers selected this year for the award, which is open to educators working within a 70-mile radius of Philadelphia.

She was honored during a recent Eagles game at Lincoln Financial Field, where she was recognized on the field in front of more than 60,000 fans and received a personalized Eagles jersey.

Kristman was nominated for the award by fellow Darby Township School teacher Rosie Cavanagh, a second grade educator who highlighted her colleague’s commitment to the school community.

“I nominated Ms. Kristman for this award due to her dedication and willingness to help all students and staff at all times,” said Cavanagh. “I truly believe she goes above and beyond to make our school a better place. This award was so deserved. It was an honor to celebrate Ms. Kristman at the game, especially with how it ended.”

Southeast Delco School District Superintendent Dr. Yamil Sanchez Rivera said the recognition reflects the impact Kristman makes each day in the classroom.

“We are incredibly proud of Ms. Kristman for earning this honor,” said Dr. Sanchez. “Being selected as one of only 10 teachers from such a large and competitive region speaks volumes about her dedication to her students and her commitment to supporting colleagues and our school community.”
