Requirements for Professional Staff Applications

Interested teaching candidates should send a complete information packet which should include letter of interest, resume, Pennsylvania standard teaching application, three (3) professional reference letters and credentials including a copy of valid PA certificate, copy of college or university transcripts, current Act 34, Act 114 and Act 151 clearances, and Praxis or NTE test scores to Southeast Delco School District, Attn: Human Resources Department, 1560 Delmar Drive, Folcroft, PA 19032. EOE

Southeast Delco is a member of PAREAP, the Pennsylvania Regional Educational Applicant Program. This web-based service is free to applicants and allows your application to be viewed by any district that subscribes to the site. Unsolicited paper applications will not automatically result in consideration of otherwise qualified applicants. To access this website and complete an application, log-on to www.pareap.net .

Applicants, interested in employment with the district are encouraged to visit the website often for job posting announcements.

Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check (Act 34 Clearance)

There are two ways to obtain this report:

Online at epatch.state.pa.us using a credit card or debit card for payment of the $10.00 fee.

By mail, using an application form that can be obtained from the school district or downloaded from the Pennsylvania State Police website at www.portal.state.pa.us. The $10.00 fee is payable by money order or cashier's check.

Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance Report (Act 151 Clearance)

There are two ways to obtain this report:

Online at https:www.compass.state.pa.us/CWIS using a credit card or debit card for the $10.00 fee.

By mail, using an application form that can be obtained from the school district or downloaded from the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare website at http://www.dpw.state.pa.us/cs/groups/webcontent/documents/form/s_001762.pdf. The $10.00 fee is payable by money order or cashier's check.

FBI Federal Criminal History Report (Act 114 Clearance)

All District employees hired on or after April 1, 2007 must obtain this report. The requirement for a fingerprint-based report applies to all employees who have direct contact with students, including, but not limited to, teachers, student teachers, administrators, substitutes, maintenance and custodial staff, food service staff, and office employees.

Registration for the electronic fingerprinting process can be completed online at any time at www.pa.cogentid.com. After registering, the new employee reports to a fingerprinting site with the appropriate identification, where the electronic fingerprinting is completed. The $28.75 fee is payable by credit card or debit card for online registration only, or by money order or cashier's check at the fingerprinting site for phone registrations.
