Hello!  My name is Dr. Custer and this is my 4th school year with the Southeast Delco School District community.  I am the school counselor at Darby Township School for children in first through eighth grades.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Temple University. I then stayed home with my children for a few years and went back to school for my Master's Degree in School Counseling from Gwynedd Mercy University. After gaining experience in the school building, my passion for educational leadership grew, and I decided to continue my education. I am proud to share that I recently earned a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at Gwynedd Mercy concentrating in Schools and School Districts for PK-12 grades in the Spring of 2020!
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, and friends. My children are elementary-aged at 5, 7, and 8. They keep me on my toes, and my love for them is irreplaceable.
Throughout a typical day at DTS, you will find me doing many different things: meeting with students individually and in small groups to discuss topics like making friends, making good choices, and dealing with stress/ anxiety. I teach classroom guidance lessons and meet with staff and parents to discuss how to best support students.
