The 2014-2015 General Fund Budget was unanimously approved at the May 22, 2014, Board of School Directors meeting. The budget included a 3% tax increase, which was below Southeast Delco’s Act 1 Index rate of 3.1%. The millage rate, as of July 1, 2014, will be 38.4034. Each Homestead approved property will receive a Homestead tax reduction of $346.52. The reduction will be reflected on the school real estate tax bill.

The 21st Century tutoring program has come to a close for the 2013 / 2104 school year. Students in grades K through 12 finished their school year program with wrap-up events, which concluded their tutoring and recreation experiences. Students will now be eligible for our summer program for which we are finalizing enrollments.

For the upcoming school year, only Cohort 6A that serves students in grades 6 through 12, remains. The focus of that program is STEM- Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The state will release Cohort 7 this fall. The district will be applying for and hopes to be awarded a grant to continue to fund afterschool activities for district students. We will share information on Cohort 7 as it becomes available.
