• Let me introduce myself........

My name is Mrs. Christiane Manko Morgan.  Unlike many other subject areas, I started working towards my career goals at the age of six!  After starting piano lessons at that early age, I have followed my musical destiny continuously up to my present position here at DTS.  I started performing publicly at the age of 11, and upon graduating high school, I attended West Chester State College(I'm dating myself) and Immaculata College, earning a Bachelor of Music degree in music education.  I continued my studies at Immaculata and subsequently earned a duel Master's degree in Music Education and Music Therapy.  I have worked in the fields of music education and music therapy since 1985, combining my goals at The Vanguard School in Paoli, where I worked as both a music educator and certified therapist for over 5 years.  I have also used my music therapy skills working with various populations, including Alzheimer's/Dementia patients, special education students, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation clients. As you might have guessed by now,  music is my life, and I can think of no greater gift I can share with my students here at DTS than the love of music that has been such an integral part of my life and work.
