Instructional Programs - Tutoring
EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP)
Students in grades 3 to 8 scoring basic or below basic on PSSA or benchmark assessments are eligible for tutoring as part of the Educational Assistance Program. Students in grades 1 and 2 scoring intensive or strategic in Dibels assessments are also eligible for tutoring. Tutoring begins in October of each year and concludes prior to the state PSSA assessment, sometime in late March.
Tutoring resumes for a 5-week period in the summer. District personnel provide tutoring.
Parents of eligible students receive information in the mail in early September. Students who were not in district last year will be tested in September and will be eligible in November provided they meet the guidelines listed above. School year tutoring is in Mathematics. Summer tutoring is in Reading. School year tutoring is held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:00 to 4:00. Summer tutoring is held Monday through Thursday from 9:00 to Noon. Transportation is provided for students normally receiving transportation.

SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICES (SES)
Low Income students in Southeast Delco Schools identified in School Improvement II or higher are eligible for Supplemental Educational Services. An outside provider provides these services. Parents can choose from a District approved or State Approved Provider list. Services begin in November and include approximately 45 hours of instruction. Providers assess students and develop a learning plan to meet student needs. Transportation is not provided to out-of-district programs.
