Instructional Programs - Dual Enrollment
RENDELL ADMINISTRATION LAUNCHES
DUAL ENROLLMENT GRANT PROGRAM
HARRISBURG -- Funded by the landmark education budget that Gov. Edward G. Rendell signed into law last month, the Pennsylvania Department of Education today released guidelines and an application for school districts to participate in Pennsylvania’s first statewide dual enrollment program.
“ Pennsylvania ’s education system is about the future. It is about preparing our young people for their lives and careers in the 21 st century,” Rendell said. “Through Dual Enrollment we will give our students an important advantage that will benefit them throughout their careers. This investment in our young people will help to ensure Pennsylvania has a highly educated and skilled workforce to face the challenges and opportunities ahead.”
Dual enrollment allows students to take college courses and earn postsecondary credit while completing high school graduation requirements.
